CHILLING MOVIE NIGHT! Join us for a rare screening of Japanese classic ghost film: The Ghost of Yotsuya (1959) or Tokaido Yotsuya Kaidan by Nobuo Nakagawa. It’s based on the most famous ghost stories in Japan, about a woman named Oiwa who is betrayed and poisoned by her husband and returns as a ghost to haunt him after death. 東海道四谷怪談

This event combines our popular AJC Meet up, meet & connect with people from Japan or ANYONE who shares your passion about Japan & Japanese culture!

6pm-10pm* (3-10pm)

Have you experienced shivers down your spine in a haunted house or listening to a scary story? Japanese people realized that, the "fear" could give them chills and make them forget the heat, making it a popular way to cool off summer.

Japanese people continue to enjoy these atmospheric and emotional experiences, appreciating Fuzei (風情), the aesthetic sense of spontaneous atmosphere and feelings.
We still enjoy summer with Fuzei.
