Join Kathleen Stafford for a watercolor demonstration during our monthly Open Canopy event tomorrow June 1st, at 2:00pm. Kathleen has been a part of the Bee Cave Arts Foundation, Waterloo Watercolor Group and the Capitol Arts Society. She has decades of experience and will be sharing a variety of watercolor techniques.
This 2:00pm demo will be about Stafford’s particular watercolor techniques illustrating the transparent layer on layer of watercolor, a variety of textures that can be achieved to add to visual richness. She will demo different types of edges from soft, disappearing, and blended to clean and sharp, as well as a variety of ways to save the brilliant whites of the paper for added effect.
This event is during Open Canopy, a monthly art event celebrating creative process as dozens of on-site artist studios open their doors to the public. Enjoy the watercolor demo, studio tour, open galleries, live music and vendor/food pop-ups.
